Ingredients :
- Moong dal
- Carrot
- Beans
- Green Peas
- Turmeric powder
- Cumin Seeds
- Black Jeera
- Bay Leaf
- Dried Red Chilly
- Salt
- Sugar
Cooking procedure:
Roast the moong dal for 8 to 10 minutes. The dal will acquire a lighter color. Be careful that they do not turn a dark brown. Transfer to a bowl & wash it. Bring water to a boil & stir in the dal along with the turmeric powder, salt, carrot, green peas and beans. Simmer, covered, until the dal is tender, 35 to 45 minutes.
Put jeera , bay leaf and dried chilly to crackle in oil then add the boiled dal . Mix well. Simmer for a couple of minutes & remove from heat.
